This Privacy Policy describes how the Voyager Map mobile application (the “App”) processes personal data. The App provides travel-related features such as discovering points of interest, saving destinations, map interaction, guest access, and related communication features.
This Policy also applies to the Voyager Map website, including cookie-based analytics and consent management used on the website.
Important: This Policy distinguishes between (a) features and processing that are currently active and (b) features that are planned or conditionally enabled in the future. Where a processing activity is not currently active, it is marked as planned / where applicable.
The App is operated by an individual developer:
We may occasionally contact you via email in connection with the operation of the App, including important service-related information, security notices, feature updates, or changes affecting your use of the App. Marketing or promotional emails are sent only where permitted by law and, where required, based on your consent. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
The App uses PostHog to understand product usage and improve reliability and user experience. Depending on configuration, PostHog may be used for analytics, feature flags, surveys, and limited session replay functionality. Reasonable measures are applied to reduce the likelihood of capturing sensitive information in analytics data or recordings.
The App may use Google, Meta, and TikTok tools for analytics, attribution, and advertising measurement, subject to applicable legal requirements and user consent where required.
The Voyager Map website uses Cookiebot as a Consent Management Platform (CMP) to collect, store, and manage cookie preferences.
On the website, GA4 is configured to load only after the user grants consent for statistics cookies. If consent is refused, GA4 does not load and no GA4 analytics events are sent.
Legal basis for non-essential website cookies (including GA4): consent. Users can withdraw or change consent at any time via the cookie settings interface.
Where Google services involve transfers outside the EEA, such transfers are handled under applicable safeguards (for example, Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable).
Cookie lifetimes vary by cookie type and provider. Detailed, up-to-date cookie names, purposes, providers, and retention periods are available in the Cookiebot cookie declaration presented on the website.
Server logs may record technical data such as request timestamps, IP address, user-agent, and error information for operational and security purposes.
If you submit an issue report or support request through the App, we may process the information you provide (such as your email address, report type, description, and page/context information) together with technical metadata (such as IP address, user-agent, and timestamp) to investigate and respond to the report.
Personal data is stored on backend infrastructure operated by the developer. Uploaded files may be stored in object storage systems and referenced via stored URLs.
Data may be shared only as necessary with authentication providers, analytics services, advertising partners, billing providers, messaging/support providers, or storage providers. Third parties process data under their own policies and applicable legal obligations.
Data is retained only as long as necessary. Upon account deletion, personal data is deleted or anonymized unless legal obligations require retention.
Requests can be submitted to [email protected].
Appropriate technical and organizational measures are applied to protect personal data.
The App is not directed to children below the minimum age required by applicable law in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not knowingly process children’s personal data in violation of applicable law.
For related legal information, please also refer to the current versions of our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Data Deletion Notice documents made available on our website.
This Privacy Policy may be updated. Changes will be communicated within the App or by other appropriate means.
